Ingredients
- 400 g Cucumber (very finely diced)
- 360 g Tomatoes (very finely diced)
- 120 g Red onion
- 48 g Lime juice
- 8 g Mint
- 24 g Olive oil
- 4 g Salt
Instructions
- Cut cucumber, tomatoes and onion into very small, even dice. The size is the whole difference here.
- Finely chop the mint.
- Toss everything with lime juice, olive oil and salt.
- Let stand for ten minutes and serve immediately. After an hour the cucumber draws water and the salad turns watery.
Warum so klein geschnitten wird
In Iran this salad is eaten with a spoon or scooped up with bread. Large pieces do not work for that.
