Weekly Meal Plan Template: blank printable planner

A blank week: seven columns, four meals, and a shopping list on the second page. Print it, or type straight into it in your browser.

No sign-up, no email address, no download form. Whatever you type stays in your browser and is sent nowhere – close the page and it is gone. To keep it, print it or save it as a PDF.

Tip: you can type directly into the fields. Nothing is saved.

Four things that help when filling it in

  1. Do the evenings first. Dinner is the meal most likely to fall apart when nothing is planned. Once the seven evenings are down, most of the week is saved.
  2. Plan two meals twice. A plan with something different every day rarely survives until Wednesday. Cooking the same thing twice is not a weakness in the plan – it is why it works.
  3. Leave one evening empty. Something always comes up. A deliberately blank square stops the whole plan from feeling void at the first change.
  4. Shop for the gaps. Most weekly plans are generous on energy and protein and thin on fiber, potassium, magnesium and folate. A handful of pulses, seeds or dark green vegetables on the shopping list changes that more than anything else.

Which foods close the gaps

If you want to check the fourth point: we built sorted charts for twelve nutrients from our verified ingredient data – the fifty richest foods per 100 g in each.

And if the plan should do the maths?

Up-Food fills the same week with recipes and calculates over 30 nutrients from the real ingredient amounts, based on verified USDA and BLS values. This template stays free and needs no account.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I print the weekly meal plan template?

Use the button above, or Ctrl+P / Cmd+P. The planner is set up for landscape and fits on one page; the shopping list goes on the second. Explanatory text and menus are hidden automatically in print.

Is there a PDF version?

Yes – in the print dialog choose Save as PDF instead of a printer. That produces the same file we would otherwise offer as a download, without routing you through an email address.

Are my entries saved?

No. What you type stays in your browser and is never sent to us. Closing or reloading the page clears it. To keep a plan, print it, save it as a PDF, or build it in the Up-Food app.

How many meals should a weekly plan cover?

This template has four rows: breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack. If you only plan evenings, fill one row and leave the rest blank – an incomplete plan beats no plan comfortably.
